# Prino > Prino is a private AI assistant that remembers you. Your saved chats, memories, Projects and files are end-to-end encrypted, the AI models answer under zero data retention commitments, and nothing you write is ever used to train AI. No sign-up needed. Prino is for people who want an AI assistant with memory without handing their life to a server. Most private AI chats forget you after each conversation; most assistants that remember you keep your history in plain text on their servers. Prino remembers, and keeps what it remembers encrypted on your side. ## Key facts - End-to-end encrypted: saved chats (including titles and summaries), memories, Projects with their instructions, and files are encrypted with AES-256 in your browser, with a key that cannot be copied off your device. Prino's servers store only encrypted data they cannot read. - What the AI sees: to answer, the model reads your message and the context it needs, for that answer only. Models are used under zero data retention commitments, and Prino keeps a finished answer in memory for up to 30 minutes so a dropped connection can still collect it. - Never used to train AI: Prino does not, and the model providers it uses commit not to. - No account needed: as a Guest, your data stays encrypted in your browser only, with no backup; clearing site data deletes it. An account adds encrypted sync across devices, unlocked with your password or a passkey, and Projects. - Ghost mode: nothing is saved, not even on your device. No memory, no Projects and no search of past chats. - Connectors: connect Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Drive, Outlook mail, Outlook calendar and Notion, and Prino searches and reads them from the chat when you ask. Access is read-only, the saved permission is encrypted, and what Prino reads is not kept as Memory or used to train AI. Nothing is connected unless you choose it. - Memory: Prino picks out short, useful facts from your chats and encrypts them. You can see or delete each one, correct one by telling Prino, or turn Memory off. - Deleting: deleted chats leave no content behind, and deleting your account removes your encrypted data. You can download your conversations at any time. - Honest limits: private is not the same as anonymous, and the model still reads each message to answer it.
